Ashley Wood is an Australian comic book artist, who has worked in many forms of entertainment media, including comics, movie and TV projects. As an illustrator, he is known for his atmospheric cover art and concept design. Wood has worked for the British 'Judge Dredd' comics, before breaking into the U.S. market. There, he worked for companies like Marvel ('Doom', 'Ghostrider 2099 A.D.') and DC ('The Invisibles').
Wood later worked for Image creating graphic novels and cover art for the various 'Spawn' titles of Todd McFarlane. In later years, he worked on several projects for IDW Publishing on titles like 'Popbot', 'Lore', 'Metal Gear Solid', 'Zombies vs. Robots' and 'Tank Girl'. Wood has worked with the Japanese producer Hideo Kojima on one of the world's first digital comics for Sony's PlayStation Portable, the 'Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel'.
