Matt Wuerker graduated from high school in 1979, and got a job in an animation studio in Portland, Oregon. He soon switched to cartooning and created a weekly strip for magazine Willamette Week. Later, it moved to LA Weekly, and Matt Wuerker worked in Los Angeles as a mural artist and animator for a while. His most recent cartoon is 'Lint Trap', which appears in alternative publications such as Las Vegas Weekly, Metro Santa Cruz, The Washington Free Press, LA Times, Philadelphia Daily News and Christian Science Monitor.
