Yannick

Yannick Hodbert was a photographer before he turned to creating comics. Signing with only his first name, he made his debut in 1969, becoming one in a long line of artists to illustrate 'Pif le Chien' in Pif Gadget. In 1976, he created the 'Pif' spin-off series 'Hercule'. Yannick introduced numerous side characters in this series, which he drew until 1994. Yannick briefly made a series of his own in Pif Gadget, called 'Les Apprentis Sorciers'. In 1988, he created 'La Morgueluse' with Michel Motti and the characters 'Louping et Tonneau'. In the 1990s, Yannick turned to other magazines, such as Miroir du Cyclisme ('Pierre Lagagne'), Pif Découverte ('Nanouk') and Dauphiné Libéré ('Croglok').

In 1995, Yannick joined the French Disney Productions. He drew several stories and covers with the ducks and the mice. He also started some series of his own in Mickey Jeux and Le Journal de Mickey, such as 'Super Pig' and 'Cool Cool'.
