Roberto Zaghi was born in Ferrare, where he did technical studies and began his career as a press illustrator. He also illustrated books, such as 'Commedia è finita! by Lorenzo Calza. Settled in Milan, he began an association with the publishing house Bonelli. He has drawn several issues in this publisher's series 'Zona X', 'Legs Weaver', 'Nathan Never' and especially 'Julia'. He took over the artwork of the franco-belgian comic series 'Thomas Silane' from Yves Lécossois in 2009.
