Jajzi by Bob Zivkovic

Dobrosav "Bob" Živković is a Serbian illustrator from Belgrade. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1987. He published his first work in student magazines like Student and Vidici in 1982. He established himself as a science-fiction and fantasy illustrator in the 1980s, making cover illustrations for the Znak Sagite imprint and the fantasy annual Monolit.

He also made illustrations for magazines like Alaf, Politikin Zabavnik and Zeka, and had a popular children's comic called 'Jajzi' in Tik-Tak from 1987 to 1998. In the late 1990s Živković was Art Director and illustrator for the Saatchi & Saatchi offices in Serbia and Slovenia. He continues working in advertising business as well as a freelancer illustrator.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
