Loustal exposition

This was the first exhibition by Jacques de Loustal in Galerie Lambiek, and also his first in the Netherlands.

The exhibition contisted of two parts: illustrations from 'Daglicht/Lumieres du jour' and 'De W van Wraak/ V comme Engenance' on the one hand, and pages from 'Woestijnkoorts/ Coeurs de Sable' and Besame Mucho/Barney et la note bleue' on the other.

The stillness of the images showed us a world of nostalgia, in which out of season bathresorts, the countryside of the subtropics and the cliches of B-movies played more important roles than the characters.
