This was the second solo exhibition Ceesepe did in Galerie Lambiek within four years. The exhibition included beautiful colored paintings and a series of Caribbean aquarelles. His drawings and paintings are graceful of form and cheerful of color, but the depicted characters don't share these qualities. Usually they stare into emptiness in a world of violence, drugs and idleness. |

Ceesepe characterizes society's underbelly in it's painful moments. Elements of Miro and Picasso mixed with the language of the graphic novel are a success formula for Ceesepe who has had exhibitions throughout Europe since 1979. |
