Thierry Guitard is a French comic artist. He published his own fanzine La Pieuvre in the early 1990s, that also published the work of authors like Stéphane Blanquet.

He works as an illustrator for Libération, Rock and Folk, Marie-Claire and Politis. Guitard, a brilliant French graphic artist, is especially known for his silkscreen magazines, such as 'CBO', 'Le Cinema C'est Facile' and 'Cauchemars'.

He has published books like 'Ni le Conozco' (El Pregonero, 1995), 'La Fureur d'Expector' (Les Requins Marteaux, 1997), 'Double Violence' (Verticales, 2001) and 'Concubins' (Esprit livres, 2003).

Guitard's work showed us, people who look normal but are trapped in a surreal world spiced with humour, irony, absurdity and social critique.

For his creations he used an original silkscreen technique. The exhibition at Galerie Lambiek included both black & white and colour pages and illustrations, and also a full wall of smaller works painted with acryllic on cellophane.
