Donald Duck 2500th issue
In the last week of August 2000, there was a special event in the Dutch comic scene: the 2500th issue of the Dutch version of Donald Duck Weekly Magazine was printed! As a supplement, loyal readers received issue #1, from October 1952. Inside this festive edition, there was a story about Donald Duck, on the search for this very rare first print. Of course, he starts his enquiries at the most famous comics antiquarian store - in its owner, Cees Sokkenstopper, we immediately recognized our own Kees Kousemaker! To be featured in Donald Duck is to a comic-fanatic like being on the cover of Rolling Stone is to a musician!

Congratulations, Donald Duck, and thanks a lot!
