Arthur, or Art, Adams is one of the most influential comic book artists of his generation. He broke through with the successful 'Long Shot' miniseries for Marvel in 1985, which he made with writer Ann Nocenti at the age of 19. He is one of the founders of Legend, Dark Horse's top-end creator-owned imprint. That's where his smash hit 'Monkeyman & O'Brien' first saw print, as a back-up feature in fellow Legender Mike Mignola's first 'Hellboy' mini-series.
Adams has additionally worked on titles like 'X-Men', 'Fantastic Four', 'The Authority', 'Tom Strong' and 'Gen13'. For 'Tom Strong's Terrific Tales' he co-created the popular character Jonni Future. His short stories about various B-movie monsters are collected by Dark Horse in the series 'Art Adams' Creature Features'. He is also a popular cover artist for titles like 'Superman', 'Batman', 'Justice League of America' and 'Vampirella', and he has done art on trading cards, posters and merchandise, as well as magazine illustrations and toy design.
