Born in Mantua, Davide Ceccon moved to Milan, where he obtained his high school diploma in scientific subjects. Leaving the region of Lombardy in 1984, he moved to the town of Padua, where he went to work as a self-taught cartoonist. His first published comic strip was 'Lilo', which appeared in the local magazines. Shortly afterwards, Ceccon became a professional cartoonist for Il Mattino di Padova.
After a couple of years, he made his move towards internationally known publishers and started to work for Rizzoli RCS (Milan) on the monthly magazine Snoopy, creating new stories with 'Lilo'. While working for Snoopy, he was providing other cartoons for the well-known magazine Messaggero dei Ragazzi E.M.P. (Padua). Ceccon also had his work published in Clandestino, Il mondo B and other political satire newsletters. He has worked as a cartoonist for the broadcasting company RAI since the early 1990s.
For Comix he created the couple 'Volfango e Costanza'. In 1996, the artist started working with Dodo, a monthly magazine for culture and comics for teenagers, in which he published new 'Lilo' stories. Later on, he 'Lilo' character was featured in a series of greeting cards. Ceccon addionally keeps on publishing drawings and strips on magazines like Linus, Argos, and Messaggero dei Ragazzi, and created the character of the dog 'Bilbo'.
