Petar Grigorov was born in Belozem-Plovdivsko. He was a student in painting of professor Kiril Conev, and graduated in 1949. Grigorov worked in comics himself during the 1940s, among others for Sedmichna zabava. He was the teacher of Georgi Chepilev in 1975-1978. He encouraged the artist to draw comics when they were forbidden (1944-1978).
