Capitano Salgari by Haltor

Little is known about the artist that went by the pen name of Haltor. Omar Salgari, son of writer Emilio Salgari, had already written about his father's memoirs in the weekly comic book 'Salgari - Settimanale di grandi avventure' from August 1946 until January 1947. When the series returned in December 1948, it was turned into a comic story under the title 'Le Straordinarie Avventure del Capitano Emilio Salgari'. The adaptation was made by Edward Bound, and the artist was Haltor, who continued to work on the feature until June 1949.
