Stefano Martino was born in Genoa, where he also lives and works. He had an internship at the Fronzoni studios in Milan, where he learned the finer points of the comics profession. Martino began his professional career working as an illustrator and on multimedia projects. He joined Bonelli publishers in 1996, where he started out drawing for Zona X. He works on the series 'Jonathan Steele' since 1999.
