Timmetje Tom, by Cees Woltman

Cees Woltman is mainly known as the illustrator of fairytale books, like 'Assepoester' and 'Doornroosje', both published by De Egelantier in Antwerp in 1950, and 'De Gelaarsde Kat', published by Joh. M. Alles in Amsterdam. In 1941, he made a comic book called 'Timmetje Tom op het ijs', about a little boy who learns how to skate on the canals of Amsterdam. Woltman was also the author of the 1943 picture booklet 'Witbaard - De koning van Kabouterland', an allergorical antisemitic story about the grey mouse Joris Knaaggraag, who gets caught stealing and is kicked out of the realm of King Witbaard.
