Lorenzo Mattotti is one of the leading Italian comic artists. He is most famous for his idiosyncratic artwork, be it the expressionistic pastels drawings of his masterpiece 'Fires', or the quietly free-wheeling lines of his black and white pen work.
The exhibition in Galerie Lambiek included, besides a selection from Mattotti's comic oeuvre (Fires, Dr. Nefasto, Mr. Spartaco and Labyrinths), paintings, illustrations, posters and pastel drawings.
According to the artist every discipline needs a different approach of color use, depth and line technique which results in a very diverse collection.
