Mark Beyer is a self-taught comic artist known for his bleak story lines, often featuring death, disfigurement, depression, and humiliation, which contrast with his childlike, geometric drawing style.
Most of his stories are about the adventures of a strange couple named Amy and Jordan mainly published in Raw magazine.
Mark Beyer is best known for his "art brut" comix style, which gives his work an unmistakable cult appeal, he already participated in different group shows throughout Europe, Canada and Japan.
In 1993 Beyer had an exposition in Galerie Lambiek, for which the artist made special silk-screens, postcards, and some paintings on Plexiglas.
