Comic book series : Burne Hogarth's Tarzan

World War II - Axis forces entered Africa in 1940, so it was only a matter of time before Tarzan, the son of a British aristocrat, would oppose them. So did series writer Don Garden, who left the strip during wartime to serve with the military. Thus Burne Hogarth took on the writing, and Tarzan came to wholly represent his explosive artistic vision.
