'Holmos'.
Born in 1924 in Caibarién, Alberto Enrique Rodríguez Espinosa studied at the San Alejandro Academy of Plastic Arts in Havana. After his education, he lived in several Caribbean countries, and eventually returned to Cuba in 1960. He was one of the founders of Palante, a magazine for which he created the 'Holmos' comic strip with scriptwriter Evora Tamayo. Alben has published several humor books ('Fumando en Pipa y Otras Costrumbres', 'Con La Risa en El Directo') and has been on the jury at several comics contests. He died in 2010.
