Action in the Pacific (Commando #14)
Aram Alexanian was a Canadian comic book artist during the 1940s. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, he was the creator of 'Super Commando' in Joke Comics 12 (Bell Features, 1944) and 'The Black Falcon' (Bell Features, 1944). He began ghosting on 'Superman' and 'Batman comics' for National while studying art in New York City in 1943. He also did some work for Bernard Baily's Illustrated Stories of the Operas. He wrote and drew various other strips war and crime strips for Bell Features in Canada during the 1944-45 period. He entered his father's Carpet business based in Hamilton, Ontario after the demise of war-time Canadian comics and took it over after his father's death in the early 1960s.
