Les Écluses du Ciel - Le Pays Blanc (1990)

François Allot is a French illustrator and designer, who has also worked as a comic artist. He began his career making illustrations for science fiction books, most notably for the collection Le Masque Science-fiction of the Librairie des Champs-Élysées. He also worked with Philippe Adamov on the graphics of the French-Japanese animated TV series 'Ulysses 31' (1981-1982). His first comics appeared in magazines like Actuel, Okapi and Circus, and he also participated in a collective comic book about the history of Brittany for Éditions I.D.P. in 1983. In 1988 Allot took over the artwork of the historical fantasy series 'Les Écluses du Ciel' from Michel Rouge. He made four new books with writer Rodolphe for Glénat until 1994. Allot worked with Rodolphe again on the heroic fantasy comic 'Tintagel' in the collection Terres de Légendes of Delcourt in 2012.
