Ismael Álvarez was born in Ayamonte in the province of Huelva, Andalucia. He studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, the city where he also started his career as illustrator, graphic designer and comic artist. His art has appeared in magazines like VOGUE Japan, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Sunday Times and Playboy, but also in smaller local publications and fanzines. He makes homoerotic art, among others for the publications of Patrick Fillion's Class Comics label (such as 'Rapture'). His comic strip 'Bruno, tú siempre tan oportuno' has appeared as a monthly feature in the gay magazine MOXOW. He ranks Gustav Klimt, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Tom of Finland as his main inspirations, and is additionally active in the fashion and acting world, and also as a freelance photographer.
