Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa
'Fullmetal Alchemist'. 

Manga artist Hiromu Arakawa was born in Tokachi, Hokkaido. After high school, she worked on her family's dairy farm while taking monthly oil painting classes. She also took up drawing dojinshi manga, as well as yonkoma (gag strips) for a magazine.

Arakawa began her professional manga career as the assistant of Hiroyuki Eto. Her first solo work was 'Stray Dog', which was published Monthly Shonen Gangan in 1999. She began her best known serial, 'Fullmetal Alchemist' in this same magazine in 2001. She also participated in the anime adaptation of this series by Bone Studios. On 6 February 2013 she was one of several mangaka  to make a graphic contribution to the charity special, 'Heroes Come Back' in the magazine Weekly Shonen Tuesday to raise money for the victims of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, alongside Takashi Shiina, Rumiko Takahashi, Kazuhiko Shimamoto, Fujihiko Hosono, Masami Yuuki and Kazuhiro Fujita .

She lives and works in Tokyo, where she has published other works like 'Raiden 18', 'Souten no Koumori' and 'Hero Tales', the latter under the name Huang Jin Zhou together with Studio Flag.

In 2005, U.S. cartoonist Dana Simpson recorded the song 'Still Nina' on her album 'Shiver' (2005), in reference to the character Nina from 'Fullmetal Alchemist'.
