Rome-based artist Flaviano Armentaro has been active as a character designer, storyboard artist, animator and comic artist since 2003. Born in Salento, he graduated in sculpting from the Brera Academy. He has been making storyboards and character designs through studios like Enarmonia, Filmax, Motionworks, Xilam, Rai, Vodafone, Decathlon, Ferrero, Mulino Bianco, Zodiak, Graphilm and Rainbow.
In Italy, he is known for his comics work on Bonelli's 'Dylan Dog', and for drawing 'Cooking Time!'. This comic series teaches children how to cook. It is written by Katja Centomo and Francesco Artibani through Lynx Multimedia Factory, and serialized in Il Giornalino. Together with Makkox, he created the webcomics site 'Coreingrapho', and won a prize for his story 'Come Vuoto' at the Napoli Comicon in 2010.
Armentaro is the artist of the soccer comic 'Les Verts!', written by Frédéric Brrémaud by commission of the French football club L'AS Saint-Etienne. Also for the French market, he has drawn the fantasy comic 'Nola' from scripts by Mathieu Mariolle for Dargaud since 2015. He has additionally contributed to the magazine Mamma.am and the website Orcaidea, and he was part of the online satirical collective Scaricabile from 2009 to 2010.
