Éric Asselin started out doing illustrations for the newspapers L'Éclosion and Impact Campus (of the Laval University). He is the caricaturist of the magazine Le Carrefour from Quebec. Together with Philippe Girard and Jean-François Bergeron, he founded the fanzine Tabasko!. He also became a regular contributor to the magazine Safarir, for which he draws the 'Negatif' section.
