He is a member of the OuBaPo group (Ouvroir de Bande dessinée Potentielle), that explores the narrative and graphic potential of the comics art. In 2003, he made 'Enfer Portatif', which was published by Casterman. In addition to his comics work, Ayroles does illustrations for Libération and Les Inrockuptibles.
