Jacques Azam is a Toulouse-based illustrator, who has specialized in drawing for children's publications since 1994. He illustrates for magazines like Les Aventuriers, Tout à Lire and Les Clés de l'Actualité Junior and the publishing houses Actes Sud, Nathan, Milan and De La Martinière Jeunesse. He made his debut as a comic book artist at Milan with the album 'Cultiver la fleur qui pue (et autres bêtises)' in 2003.
It was followed by more humorous books, such as 'Faxer une andouillette' (2003), 'Zinzin des Bois' (2005), 'Ringo, le livreur de pizza' (2009) and the series 'Chico Mandarine' (2004-2006), that later became 'Mandarine & Cow' (2008-2010). 'Mandarine & Cow' has been made into an animated TV series in 2007. The comic runs in the Bayard magazine DLire, for which Azam also makes the strip 'Les Aventures de Hic'. For Delcourt's Shampooing collection Azam has drawn 'Scoops à gogo' (2005) and 'Scoops de pro' (2007).
