Born in Lachine, near Montréal, Simon Banville studied Visual Arts at the University of Quebec. He has participated in magazines like Le Motdit, Teknès, Main Blance and Le Cahier du Participant since 1997. Banville is the author of the series 'Asymptote', which he publishes on his website and in the magazines Zine Zag, l'Aut'journal and Le Petit Journal and the student magazine Montréal Campus. The first collection of 'Asymptote' was published in 2006. He is an illustrator for Le Couac and he also draws for Le Pionner, the magazine of the Quebec Alcohol Corporation. Banville is co-founder of the fanzine l'he_bd_o (1999), and his comics for this fanzine were collected in an anthology.
