Rob van Barneveld is a comic artist from Utrecht. He has mainly published his work on the internet, on websites like Cutie Magazine, Scholieren.com-web-log and Stripster. Among his creations are 'Pindakaasman', the autobiographical series 'Bodemloos', 'Drupneus' and 'Rood Gras'.
In print, his comics have appeared in the pages of Zone 5300, De Lijn, De Inktpot and Myx Magazine. His commercial clients include Jeugdjournaal Magazine, Jeugdjournaal Magazine, The National Historical Museum, Wintertuin Foundation, SNS Reaal and the VPRO's TV broadcast on comics, Beeldverhaal.
He created his surrealistic and poetic series 'Rood Gras' in 2006. The first book collection by Bries was nominated for the 2009 Stripschapprijs in the category "Literary". He has continued to release several small-press comics, including his own magazine, Bloem. Van Barneveld is also active as a live cartoonist.
In 2007 he won the Clickburg Webcomic Award, or "Clickie", in the category 'Gag Clickie' for 'Rood Gras'.
