Stinz by Donna Barr

Donna Barr began to draw in 1954, to write in 1963, and was first published in 1986. By 1997, her books were sold from Japan to Australia -- the long way 'round. Recently, her readership expanded into Eastern Europe, especially Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Her manic nature and interest in German culture keep her a constant source of entertainment, and have resulted in titles like 'Stinz', 'The Desert Peach', 'Hader And the Colonel', 'Bosom Enemies'. Her awards include San Diego Comicon International's Inkpot, the Cartoonists Northwest's 'Toonie', and the Washington Press Association's Communicator of Excellence for Fiction.

To this day, Donna is one of the leading female authors in her field and serves as an inspiration for an entire generation of female authors. She has taught, lectured and spoken from Paris to San Diego, and appeared on radio and television. She has been called "charming and witty", and is always delighted to visit with her many readers. Donna lives in Washington State, with her husband Daniel, a gang of spoiled cats, and Kitsap County's largest Deodar Fir.
