André Barroso was born in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, where he studied architecture. During his studies, he already worked for some national Brazilian newspapers such as O Fluminense, Diário da Tarde, Jornal do Sol, O Dia and Jornal do Brasil. Barroso has been a graphic designer, as well as a comic artist and musician. He had several humor prizes in Brazil and two prizes for SND (Society of News Design). He was a university teacher and presented television programs. His comics appear in the weekly publication of Pasquim humor, as well as online. Some of his comic titles are 'Gato Afonso', 'Lisa & Rô' and 'Guto Napão'.
