Rolland Barthélémy has been active as a freelance illustrator and designer in the advertising and communication fields since 1982. He also illustrated roleplaying games. His comics have appeared in such magazines as Okapi, Mag' Jeunes and Méthal Hurlant. He worked for several publishing houses and he did two albums of the 'Voleur de Proxima' series with Patrick Galliano at Humanoïdes Associés in 1992. He held several exhibitions throughout the 1990s, and in 2002, Barthélémy and Galliano revived the 'Voleur de Proxima' series, now called 'Lothario Grimm'.
