Jean-Claude Bauer, who signs with simply Bauer, studied Fine Arts in Lille. He made his debut in Pif, and then became a regular artist for the French television. He made courtroom sketches for France 2, and published a book with Dargaud: 'Portraits de Justice'. He has additionally made humorous comics for Fluide Glacial and Spirou, and made the humor book 'Planète randonneurs' with writer Mickay for Hugo & Cie in 2008. He made the comic book 'Spyware' with Didier Quella-Guyot for Sandawe in 2013, and he published the first book of the comics biography he made of Johnny Hallyday with François Dimberton at Jungle! in 2014.
