Rain from Nowhere (Journey Into Unknown Worlds #46, June 1956)
Robert "Bob" Bean is a cartoonist, filmmaker and portrait painter. He was working as a comic book artist in the 1950s. He drew for crime, romance and science fantasy titles by St. John Publishing, as well as '3-D Comics' and 'Dink'. For the Atlas group, he contributed fantasy, western and mystery features to titles like 'Battlefront', 'Journey into Unknown Worlds', 'Marvel Tales', 'Strange Tales' and 'Western Gunfighters'. He also did romance features for Lev Gleason and horror stories for Better Publications.
Bean is also an accomplished portrait painter and the co-founder of Wylde Films, Inc, through which he produces industrial films and commercials, animation and live action. Bean has also produced and directed cartooning correspondence course videos for Joe Kubert's World of Cartooning.
