Kurt Beaulieu is a DIY comic artist from Montreal, who emerged in the new Canadian alternative comics movement of the 1990s. He has published a great many zines since 1988 and additionally makes comics and illustrations for alternative magazines and anthologies. He is also active as an experimental musician.
Ever since the late 1980s, Beaulieu's crudely and expressively drawn comics and cartoons have appeared in a great many solo and collective fanzines. He has contributed hundreds of pages to MensuHell, Québec's only monthly comic zine, from its start in December 1999 until its demise in December 2008. It has featured installments of his ongoing strip 'Sabine et ses Amies', which has also appeared in BingBang and The Morning Dew Review. He has been one of the main contributors to the magazine La Trak, and also worked regularly with local collectives like La Logique du Calendrier (2015-2018) and Crémage (2015-2017). He was also an illustrator for the magazine Liberté (2014-2016).
Among his solo zines are 'Lyndon Larouche est Mort pour Vous', 'Le Scénario se Complique' (both 2003) and 'Bilal Sucks. (2004), and he is also author/artist of comic books such as 'Repent Sinners', 'Glitch' (2 volumes), 'La Pénurie' (2005), 'Le Ministère De La Kultur' (2008), 'Du Beau Gras De Femme' (2011), 'The P' (2012), 'Cynthia, L'Héroine Qui Vit Des Choses' (2 volumes, 2012-13).

The long list of further publications which featured his art is not limited to the Québec region, but also extends to US and European magazines and anthologies. To name but a few: Kollectiv, Mr.Swiz, Fish Piss, Tabasko, China Ink, Slam, Short Fuse, Brain Cell, Broken Pencil, Guillotine, Mon Premier Meurtre / My First Murder, Cretins, Tel Quel, and APA-5. He contributed to collectives like Koliphorm, Strip-O-Matic 2, Faster Dynamite, Kill!Kill!, and also published solo zines: 'Lyndon Larouche est Mort pour Vous', 'Le Scénario se Complique' (both 2003) and 'Bilal Sucks. (2004).
