Stromberg
Gustav Bergström was born in Stockholm, where he also studied at the School for Industrial Art between 1916 and 1919. During the 1920s he lived in the USA for a couple of years, and he settled in Juan-les-Pins, France in 1932. During World War II he was an interpreter for the American army in France.

He has published his cartoons in publications like Judge in the USA, Die Lustige Blätter in Germany, Saber Vivir in Argentina and Söndagsnisse-Strix and Vi in his homeland Sweden. Although mainly a cartoonist, he has made comic strips like 'Brainy Bill' in the USA, 'Thomas Whisky' for Spain and 'Strömberg' for the Swedish magazine Vi. His work has been collected in books like 'Krumelurer' (1932), 'Han, hon och Bergström' (1939) and 'Galleri Bergström' (1948).
