'Sylvain et Sylvette'.
Frédéric Bergèse, who uses the pseudonym Bérik, graduated in Plastic Arts in Valence and studied Fine Arts in Maçon. He began his career illustrating fairy tales for children and doing storyboard art and backgrounds for television series. In 1993, he ventured into the world of comics as the colorist of 'Buck Danny' and 'Biggles', two series drawn by his father, Francis Bergèse. He started drawing comics himself when he became the assistant of Jean-Louis Pesch. After assisting Pesch on the classic series 'Sylvain et Sylvette', Bérik was eventually handed over the complete art duties on the comic published by Dargaud. He returned to the aviation subject in 2009, when he started the series 'Les Z'Ailés' with Christophe Cazenove for Zéphyr Éditions.
