Manu Boisteau is a French illustrator and comic artist. He was born in Angers, and he studied graphic arts and illustration at the École Estienne. He has illustrated books since the mid 1990s, and has worked as a lay-out man and illustrator for children's publications. With writer Paul Martin, he created the comic strip 'James Bonk' for the publisher Cornelius between 1999 and 2003, followed by 'Maudit Manoir' for Astrapi. This comic has been published in book format by Bayard since 2004. Fascinated by drawing robots and monsters, Boisteau is furthermore the author of the pocket comic books 'La Confiture' and 'Les Rognons' for Éditions Thierry Magnier in 2008 and 2009.
