El Neum√°tico Vivente, by Emilio Boix

Emilio (or Emili) Boix was a versatile Spanish comic artist of the 1930s and 1940s, mainly known for his funny animal art. He began his career in the 1930s with magazines like Bobín, Rin Tin Tin and ¡Ja...Ja!. During the Civil War, he drew for Pulgarcito, Chicos and Gran Chicos and the publications of Editorial Marco. Among his creations are 'Espeluznantes Aventuras de la Agencia I.D.I.O.T.A.' in Gran Chicos, and 'Acrobatica Infantil' (1942), 'Hipo, Monito y Fifí' (1942) and 'Bob-Ayna y Pat-Acón, los héroes del batallón' (1952) for the Marco periodicals. He also made an adaptation of 'Los vampiros del aire' and illustrated the first two issues of 'El Vengador', before Tomas Marco Nadal took over in 1951.
