Philip Bond was born in Lancashire as the son of a preacherman. He was active in the British alternative comic scene from 1987, when he self-published the first 'Atomtan' comic book with Alan Martin, Jamie Hewlett, Luke Whitney and Jane Oliver. Starting in 1988, he drew for the seminal Deadline magazine, and created titles like 'Wired World', 'Hot Triggers' and 'Dogmeat'. In the 1990s, his work was also featured over at DC/Vertigo, and he created 'Shade the Changing Man', 'Kill Your Boyfriend', 'The Invisibles', 'Hellblazer: Bad Blood' and 'Angel and the Ape'. He was the regular 'Deadenders' cover artist.
