'Pierrot' (1930).
Georges Bourdin was born in 1898 in Paris. He worked as an illustrator for Le Sourire in 1908. He subsequently contributed to L'Humoriste (1909) and to the publications of Editions du Petit Echo, such as Pierrot, Lisette and Guignol between 1929 and 1942. After World War II, between 1948 and 1949, he made four episodes of the 'Arsène Lupin' newspaper strip for France-Soir.

Bourdin cooperated with Jean-Michel Charlier on 'L'Histoire de Cochise', published in Jeannot in July 1957. This strip laid the foundation for the successful 'Blueberry' series, which Charlier started with Jean Giraud in Pilote a couple of years later. He passed away in 1971 in Colombes, Hauts-de-Seine, Îles-de-France.
