Didier Bourguignon studied illustration at the Saint-Luc in Liège. In 1984, he began designing magazine covers. He also wrote his first children's book, 'Peau de Loup'. From 1986 to 1989, he was a lecturer at the Saint-Luc. In the same period, he created 'Les Aventures de Max Happy End' at Synopsis and he cooperated on the collective album 'Nous Tintin'. In 1990 and 1991, he created tew comic books of the series 'Ortie West' at Les Humanoïdes Associés. In the following years, he focused on his illustration work.
