Tim Boxell, a comic artist, writer and editor whose art was sometimes signed "Grisly", is best known for his underground comix version of the novel 'The Image of the Beast'. Boxell started his career in underground comix with such stories as 'The Hand That Rocks The Cradle' and 'Washed Up'. He was the editor of the comix magazine Commies From Mars. Tim Boxell went on to become a movie director in the 1990s.
