Olivier Brazao started drawing comics of his own when he was only eight years old. He studied art at the Émile Cohl School in Lyon, where he got his degree in comics and illustration. He dropped his comics ambitions for a while, and took on illustrating for the juvenile press (Nathan, Milan Presse, Hachette, Magnard). He got reacquainted with comics through his wife, comic artist Béatrice Tillier. He met Thomas Mosdi at a festival, and together with this writer, created the series 'Sheewõwkees' at Delcourt.
In Spirou issue #3778 (8 September 2010), he drew a special homage to André Geerts, who'd recently passed away.
