Allie Brosh is the maintainer of the popular weblog 'Hyperbole and a Half', which is a mix between web comic and blog. Brosh, who is originally from California, writes down her life story and uses the blog as a sort of diary in which she tells about her dealings with ADHD, synesthesia and depression. Her observational and sometimes absurdist posts are accompanied by graphics drawn with Paintbrush, that are often in the comics format. Several of her blogposts have been the basis with popular Internet memes, and her writings about depression have been lauded by experts on the subject. The author collected some of her classic content in the book 'Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened' in October 2013.
