Jeffrey Brown is a Chicago-based comic artist, best known for his (autobiographical) depictions of relationships, but he also makes fiction. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he enrolled at the Chicago School of the Art in 2000. He initially focused on painting, but turned to comic book art when he self-published his first book, 'Clumsy', in 2002. It was followed by more sketchbook comics, like 'Unlikely' (2003), 'EIOU or Any Easy Intimacy' (2005) and 'Every Girl is the End of the World For Me' (2006).
Brown has also made the superhero parody 'Bighead' (2004) and other humorous works like 'I Am Going To Be Small' (2006), 'Cat Getting Out Of A Bag' (2007) and 'Incredible Change-Bots' (2007). Most of his work has been published by Top Shelf, and it has also been featured in anthologies like MOME, Drawn & Quarterly Showcase, McSweeney's and local papers like the Chicago Reader and NewCity.
