Max Cachimba, pseudonym of Juan Pablo González, was part of the generation of Argentinian comic artists who renewed the scene in the 1980s. He started his career in Fierro magazine in 1985, where he had won a comics contest the year before and afterwards drew comic pages for every issue under the pseudonym Max Cachimba.
He worked a lot with the writer Pablo de Santis on comics like 'Guión' and 'Figurita Dificil'. Later on, he also created numerous stories on his own.
His work was published in both Spain and Argentina, such as in the magazines Qué Suerte (Spain), El Lápiz Japonés (Buenos Aires) and Dolor de Ojo (Rosario). Cachimba also illustrated for the daily Perfil of Buenos Aires. Max Cachimba has also worked in the animation field and had expositions of his oil paintings.
