Mehmet Çağçağ was born in Girseun, Turkey in 1959. He studied art at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul. He was a pupil of Oğuz Aral and started his career as a comic artist in magazine Girgir. He also contributed to Firt, Avni and Dıgıl. He co-founded magazine Leman, of which he is chief editor together with Tuncay Akgün. For this magazine, he created the comic 'Daral & Timsah'. Other comics by him are 'Apartman canavari Suphi' and 'Tripanazomi Gambiyetsizler Harala Gurele'. He also owns magazines L-Manyak, Atom, Okuz and Yeni Harman.
