Flávio Calazans is a Brazilian comic author and historian. He has professionally published his comic stories in Brasilian Heavy Metal, the Abril magazine Aventura e Ficção, Porrada! and several newspapers. He is the author of the graphic novels 'Guerra das Idéias' and 'Guerra dos Golfinhos', published by Marca de Fantasia in 2001 and 2002. He published the Barata fanzine between 1979 and 2000. As a comic researcher and historia, he has written several books on the subject, such as 'Histórias em Quadrinhos no Brasil: Teoria e Prática' and 'História em Quadrinhos na Escola'.
