Jacques-Armand Cardon is a French illustrator and cartoonist. Originally from Brittany, he studied Fine Arts in Toulon and made his debut in L'Action Automobile et Touristique in 1960. He subsequently appeared in Bizarre and France-Observateur. His satirical drawings appeared in Siné Massacre, L'Action, L'Enragé and Satirix during the 1960s. For over 30 years. he has made a weekly drawing for Le Canard Enchaîné, starting in 1974.

He made the drawings for a couple of vertical strips in the series 'Le Crime Ne Paie Pas' by Paul Gordeaux in France-Soir in 1964. He was then present in L'Humanité with the horizontal strips 'Le Crime d'Orcival' (1967), 'Chronique du règne de Charles IX' (1968) and 'L'Affaire Lerouge' (1970). His comic book/picture book 'La véridique histoire des compteurs à air' was published in 1973.

He is the author of the animated film 'L'Empreinte' (1974), and co-founder of magazine Le Père Denis in 1981. His work has been collected in books like 'Ligne de fuite' in 1973, and 'Cardon vu de dos' in 2010.
